Privacy Policy for Newsletter Recipients

When you subscribe to our newsletter, we process the personal data you provide (email address, first name, and last name) for the purpose of sending you the newsletter. After registration, your subscription will be manually reviewed and activated by us. Only after this internal verification will your email address be added to our distribution list. To document your consent, we store the time of registration as well as the IP address used. This data serves as proof of your consent in accordance with Art. 7 (1) EU-GDPR.

For sending the newsletter, we rely on your consent in accordance with Art. 6 (1) lit. a EU-GDPR. Consent is voluntary and can be revoked at any time (see below).

You can unsubscribe from the newsletter at any time, i.e., revoke your consent with effect for the future. Each newsletter contains a corresponding unsubscribe link. After unsubscribing/revocation, your personal data stored for the purpose of sending the newsletter will be promptly deleted from our distribution lists.

For sending the newsletters, we use the service rapidmail, an email marketing provider of Positive Group Deutschland GmbH (Wentzingerstr. 21, 79106 Freiburg, Germany). We have concluded a data processing agreement with rapidmail in accordance with Art. 28 EU-GDPR. The data entered for the purpose of sending the newsletter (email address and, if applicable, further details) are stored on rapidmail’s servers in Germany. rapidmail does not pass on newsletter data to third parties. rapidmail uses the data exclusively for sending the newsletter on our behalf and for the technical and statistical evaluation of the newsletter dispatch.

Tracking and Evaluation: Our newsletters contain a so-called tracking pixel (an invisible mini graphic) and, if applicable, marked hyperlinks. When the newsletter is opened, the pixel records whether and when the email was opened; we can also track which links were clicked. We use this information in aggregated form to understand reading behaviour and to improve our newsletter offering. If you do not wish to be tracked, you can object at any time by unsubscribing from the newsletter. In this case, no further usage data will be collected.

Of course, you are also entitled to all data subject rights regarding newsletter data processing under the EU-GDPR. In particular, you have the right to obtain information about your personal data stored with us, to have incorrect data corrected, or to request its deletion.
