Functional vision classifications proposed by organizations like The European Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgeons (ESCRS) provide a valuable framework for understanding and implementing IOL technologies.

From August 20 - 23, 2025, the 37th Asia-Pacific Association of Cataract & Refractive Surgeons (APACRS) Annual Meeting brought the ophthalmology community together in Ahmedabad, India. This year’s congress was a true celebration of innovation, global expertise, and collaboration.

One of the most talked-about sessions of the meeting was the Teleon Lunch Symposium, presented in a unique Vision Cocktail Lounge format. Renowned surgeons from across the globe came together to mix clinical insights, practical experience, and fresh perspectives into a powerful recipe for the future of cataract and refractive surgery.

On July 26, 2025, Teleon, in collaboration with the Singapore National Eye Centre (SNEC), hosted the “Next Frontiers in IOL Design” Workshop.
